Libki is a multi-platform, open source computer reservation and time management system.
What is Libki?
Libki is a cross-platform reservation and time management system designed to provide time-limited access to computers on a network. Libki is ideal for use in places where a controlled computing environment is important, such as public access systems, libraries, school computer labs, and more! It consists of two parts, the Libki server and the Libki client.
Cloud-based server
The Libki server uses an online management system that can be accessed from any network-connected computer via a web browser. From the web administration, you can create and delete users, change the amount of time left on an account, send or leave a message to a user, log out and/or ban users, and see which client computers are available and which are in use. In addition, the system has a public web interface to see which sites are available, which are not, and to allow you to make reservations.
Cross-platform client
The Libki client is cross-platform and runs on many operating systems, including Microsoft Windows and Linux. The Libki client has a counter that lets the user know how many minutes are left and the option to log out early. Any unused minutes can be used on any other computer running the Libki client. The Libki client can be set to log out the operating system or even restart the computer when a user logs out of the Libki client.
